Why I became a McKenzie Friend

"I experienced first-hand how stressful, costly and overwhelming the family court process can feel. After six difficult years involving solicitors, barristers and court hearings, a consent order was finally reached with the support of a McKenzie Friend.
That experience changed how I saw the process. Having someone beside me who understood the system, helped reduce the feeling of isolation and supported a more constructive way forward was invaluable"
As a McKenzie Friend, Coach and Mentor, I provide clear, practical and compassionate support to individuals navigating separation, divorce and the family court system.
My background is in leadership, coaching, mentoring and training, with many years’ experience supporting people through difficult conversations, decision-making and periods of change. Alongside this professional experience, I also bring personal insight from my own journey through mediation, financial remedy proceedings and the emotional impact of relationship breakdown.
Following the tragic and sudden loss of my son, and six months later the breakdown of my second marriage, I experienced first-hand how stressful, costly and overwhelming the family court process can feel. After six difficult years involving solicitors, barristers and court hearings, a consent order was finally reached with the support of a McKenzie Friend.
It inspired me to train as a McKenzie Friend and to use my existing coaching, mentoring and people skills to help others. I now support clients with child arrangement matters, financial remedy cases and the emotional challenges that often come with separation and divorce.
My aim is to help you feel prepared, supported and more confident — before, during and after the court process — so we can begin planning a fresh start and positive future.
